Microsoft sues eight spammers Microsoft has filed lawsuits against eight spammers under a new antispam law that went into effect in January. Microsoft accuses them of violating the Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing (CAN-SPAM) Act. The spammers spoofed their domains, routed their email through open proxies, and used misleading subject lines.
