British Summertime

I'm totally hacked-off this morning.

I was supposed to fly up to Liverpool to collect two clients this morning and instead I’m sitting here on the ground looking through my window at the worst weather in over three weeks.

Between here and the West coast, there’s a curling front of cloud and rain which is down as low as two hundred feet around Birmingham and makes it impossible for me to fly through the curtain of weather and make the appointment.

Of course the trains aren’t working properly again, with Bank Holiday engineering works causing chaos, so my clients are stuck and have had to cancel their meeting until such a time as summer reappears.

I have a sense of how General Eisenhower may have felt looking at the D-Day forecast sixty years ago. Early June in England and the rain is lashing the seafront, here on the Kent coast.
